Due to an increase in transshipment of iron ore and coal and the potentials of the Betuwelijn, EMO constructed the 6th stacker/reclaimer (Kombi KB6). This new stacker/reclaimer is equipped with a boom length of 60 meters (the older stacker/reclaimers have a boom length of 45 meters). Capacity of the stacker/reclaimer is 4500 t/h reclaiming and 6000 t/h stacking. This expansion in installations increases the annual unloading capacity of EMO from 36 mio tons to 42 mio tons. The storage capacity will grow from 6 mio to 7 mio tons.
